Raising Violence Against Women Awareness is important because its objective is to stop the blame of victims, to develop educational activities, target information for practical empowerment actions, increase understanding of different forms of VAW, and strengthen gender equality. Awareness is key to spreading the clear message of zero tolerance of all forms of violence against women and girls. It's also key in informing victims of their rights and the support services available to them.

VICTIMS OF CRIME WOMEN AWARENESS

Raising Violence Against Men Awareness is important because of a general taboo, yet 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence, and/or partner stalking with injury, PTSD, sexual violence, contraction of STDS, and more. Men are mostly discouraged to report any kind of abuse against them in their homes. Studies show that men often do not report their experiences of abuse because they themselves minimize it, and they fail to label such experiences as domestic violence. They have also reported fear of not being taken seriously by authorities, family andfriends.

 

Usually, when a man is injured or has bruises, the last thing people will think about it is that it has been caused by a woman.
